FOMO SPECIAL EDITION · IN PARTNERSHIP WITH QONTO

One Address. Four Women to Watch.

Four women take turns transforming one Berlin boutique, each with a story worth showing up for.

AUGUSTSTRASSE 22 · BERLIN MITTE · 2 TO 30 OCTOBER

Some addresses are worth knowing before everyone else does. Auguststraße 22 is one of them this October. Over four weeks, the same boutique changes hands four times. Each new tenant arrives with a brand, a point of view and an invitation to step inside.

I was on the jury for Accelerated by Qonto, the programme giving four entrepreneurs a pop-up of their own in central Berlin. Qonto gives their ideas a physical stage. FOMO introduces you to the women behind them.

The address stays the same. What you find behind the door does not.

2 TO 8 OCTOBER · MENSTRUFLOW

The conversation

A period disrupted a holiday. For Polina Speidel, it also set a company in motion. She and her co-founders built menstruflow around a distinction that deserves more attention: periods should be normal to discuss, and pain should be taken seriously. Their ONEflow period pad is the product. Making the conversation public is the larger ambition.

In the boutique, meet the team, discover ONEflow and try the Period Pain Simulator. It cannot tell you exactly what another person feels. It might make you more inclined to ask. And to listen. Everyone is welcome.

10 TO 15 OCTOBER · NGHTY BERLIN

The confidence

After a night at KitKatClub, Paulina "Polly" Lutz wanted to keep the confidence she had felt in her own body. The lingerie she found seemed made for somebody else's gaze. So she designed nghty berlin: soft, minimal pieces with the freedom of Berlin after dark, made to be worn for yourself on an ordinary Tuesday.

The brand has shipped to more than 40 countries, according to its team. This is its first physical store. Try on the collection, browse samples, and come to boobs, beats & bubbles on Saturday 10 October, 17:00 to 22:00. Lingerie, drinks, female DJs. The line-up will be announced by the brand.

19 TO 24 OCTOBER · OLENA SCENT

The pause

Elena Margulis came to scent through her own experience of burnout. She became interested in how a familiar fragrance might mark a moment to stop in a demanding day. The idea became Olena Scent. Its first botanical roll-on, The Pause, launches here on 19 October.

With breathwork coach Alan Friday and clinical hypnosis coach Sarah-Lisa Besemer, Elena turns the boutique into an anti-stress walk-in. Visit the scent bar, create a fragrance of your own or join a free short reset. Your inbox can have you back in a few minutes.

26 TO 30 OCTOBER · NŌUXX

The ritual

Nutrition science expert Jana Adam saw a gap in the wellness aisle: few everyday products seemed designed with the menstrual cycle in mind. She built nōuxx around a daily routine with three drinks for different phases of the cycle: Bloody Berry, Green Glow and Calm Choco. Across the range, the brand uses more than 30 micronutrients.

For her week, the boutique becomes a Cycle Bar. Taste a drink and meet Jana and her co-founder Anne, a specialist in laboratory medicine. Hormone, iron and omega-3 testing appointments can also be booked. On Friday 30 October, more female health and wellness brands join them for a community finale.

Four women. Four worlds. One address that will not look the same twice.

Qonto has given these founders the keys. Now Berlin gets to meet them. For many of you, Auguststraße 22 is practically around the corner. Consider this your invitation to step inside instead of walking past.

Pick the week that intrigues you. Or come back to see how the boutique changes. Bring a friend. Try something. Ask the founder what made her start. The best detail may be the one you hear in person.

I'll be dropping by too. If you spot me in the store, come say hi. I want to know which founder brought you through the door.
